A belief is merely a perception of reality. What we choose to believe

Of all the things that influence our lives, our beliefs is perhaps the most important. What we believe shapes our attitude and behaviour, and if we want to change or transform our lives we cannot truly succeed without changing our beliefs.
The Internet is filled with stories about how the power of belief can and has changed a person's life. What is less obvious to most people is how our beliefs determine our day to day reality.
I once heard a testimony from a public speaker about how he unconsciously allowed his belief to alter his life. Here's his story:
"I had a very good working relationship with my boss until this incident occurred.
One day, my boss told me that he was picking up a very important client from the airport and he invited me to come along. I felt it was an honour to be invited along to welcome our important client. We drove to the airport in his car. He was driving and I was in the front passanger seat.
At the airport, we did not need to wait long before we met our client and quickly walked him to the car.
As we neared the car, all of a sudden, my boss tossed me his car keys and asked me to drive. He simply seated himself with the client in the back seat. They chatted all the way back, oblivious to my presence.
At that moment, I felt and believed that my boss has used me. He has invited me along so that he can get a driver for himself and our client. I felt so angry with him that from that moment on my impression of him has changed. I did not believe that this was a man who would look after my interest.
After this incident, I felt the need to get back at him. Each time we have a company meeting, I tried to sabotage his proposals and suggestions by pointing out the negative aspects of his ideas,Direct that energy into solving whatever the problem is. Just a thought.. I wanted to make things tough for him,but exercise is certainly part of the daily routine of successful people..
This went on for several years until I left the company for another job. Even up to the day I left, he had no idea why my attitude towards him had changed."
Self Limiting Beliefs
A belief is merely a perception of reality. What we choose to believe, therefore, determines OUR reality. Our attitude and behaviour change to be in congruent with our beliefs.

It is important to realise that there are constructive beliefs and destructive beliefs. A constructive belief is a belief that expands life and leads to empowerment and fulfilment of life. A destructive belief is a self limiting belief that constrict your life and leads to a loss of power.
Unfortunately for most of us, we have a lot more self limiting beliefs that constructive beliefs. This is ONE big reason why we are stuck in our lives and feel as if we are the victims of fate, unable to determine our own lives.
The moment we change these self limiting beliefs with more positive ones, our attitude and behaviour will automatically change to be in congruence with our new beliefs, and with that change we will attract new and more liberating possibilities into our lives.
Changing our beliefs
Changing our beliefs requires effort and persistence. Old habits die hard. Being creatures of habits, there is always an unconscious resistance to change within us. Thus, it is important to recruit as many tools as we can to help us change our beliefs.

5. Meditation
Used together, they become a very potent way to effect change in our beliefs. It has worked for me and countless others and I know it can work for you too.

If you need to put on boots and grab a lap-top computer to relieve yourself at night, you might be a redneck workaholic.
It never crossed my mind that there could be such a thing as a redneck workaholic, until I read a column on "Are you a workaholic?"
"Did you read this?" I asked my wife. "Are you a workaholic? It looks just like those you-might-be-a-redneck jokes."
My wife studied the page. "Maybe it was written by a redneck alcoholic." She suggested.
"Workaholic, not alcoholic."
"How do you know the writer is not an alcoholic?" she demanded.
"I don't. But the column is about workaholics, and it reads just like a series of redneck jokes."
"Well, maybe it was written by a redneck workaholic, then." She suggested.
"No way. There is no such a thing."
"Why not?" she wanted to know.
"Because workaholics sit late in front of computer screens and steroid-laced in-boxes, wearing $500 suits and $550 haircuts,1. Get a life purpose statement.. Folks out here wear $19.95 jeans and occasionally wash their hair."
"But many of them do spend late hours in front of their computers," my wife pointed out.
"Like who?"
"Like you."
"Oh, yeah"
"Being a workaholic is not just about computers and offices and taking out a mortgage for a haircut," she added,health and overall happiness in life visit. "Look at Buster."
"Buster?"
"Sure, every time he's set to retire, he goes and buys another machine," she pointed out. "One year it was a backhoe. Another it was a dump truck."
"Wow, he must be desperate this year."
"Why?" my wife asked.
"Because this year he bought a whole combine"
"Ooh, that does sound desperate."
"plus a farm to use it on!"
"See,and grab the steering wheel?" my wife smiled. "You don't have to live in the city to be a workaholic. There can be such a thing as a workaholic redneck.
"That's a pity. Being a workaholic means missing out on a lot of life."
"That's true, but it's not just city folk who miss their kids growing up or are too busy working to help their wives clean the dishes."
I took the hint and picked up a drying cloth. "You mean that anyone can get caught up in work, and lose sight of what's really important? Even farmers, moat diggers and the guy who sorts through the trash at the dump looking for the tastiest morsels to throw to the gulls?"
"I suppose so," she answered with that what-have-you-been-smoking look on her face. "Why not try to see if workaholic redneck jokes work?"
"Well, if you look forward to Christmas this year, because you might take the afternoon off from tilling the land, you might be a workaholic redneck."
"That's the spirit," she encouraged.
I tried another, "If you're drinking your morning coffee from a dirty mason jar from yesterday, you might be a workaholic redneck."
"Very good," she praised.
"If you stick family pictures to your backhoe window to remind you what they look like, you might be a workaholic redneck."
"Why not try one more, just to make sure?" my wife suggested.
"OK, if you bring your work with you to your son's baseball game, you might be a workaholic redneck."
"Uh, OK" she began.
"And if nobody complains about the smell, you might live in a town full of workaholic rednecks!"
"You got it!" she shouted.
I realized that I had spent way too much time talking about workaholic redneck jokes. There was only one thing I could do to compensate.
I tossed aside the drying cloth, grabbed my lap-top computer and rushed to the outhouse to catch up on a few hundred urgent emails.

Are you pursuing a dream that you are passionate about

Are you pursuing a dream that you are passionate about? Do you have a dream that you have sat on for years and have not taken action on it? Do you even know what your dreams are?
Dreams are actually part of our guidance system in life. They give us clues and a road map for what roads we should be traveling. So if you feel unclear or confused about your dreams you have lost touch with your "dreaming" self. Your dreaming self is that part of you that is connected with all of the possibilities in life. It is the part of you that truly believes in the magic and joy of living. It is the part of you that will guide you to the sweetest happiness and fulfillment you could ever imagine. So often people get disconnected from their dreaming self at a very young age by parents who stopped connecting with their own dreaming selves.
When I work with clients, part of the healing process is to re- connect with their dreaming self. The part of them that has expansive dreams. Very often they believe this part of them is not even there anymore -that it is lost and they never can retrieve this part of them. The good news is that this part of them never goes away—it is just buried under the limiting beliefs of their conditioning and fears,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots. It may take a bit of time, but they can re-connect with this dreaming part of themselves and then start to listen to this voice.
You may be in that same position of being disconnected from your dreaming self too. If that is the case I will give you some tips to help you make this connection. Others of you may have some clarity about your dreams, but you have not taken action to pursue your dreams—I will address how to get beyond this too.
Tips to Reconnect with your Dreams
Let Go of Your Critical Thinking- To hear the voice of your dreams you first must quiet the critical voice inside. If you think of what it is like to share a dream with a friend and they shoot it down with criticism. How likely are you going to share your dreams with that person again? Not very likely. It is the same way with your internal voice of criticism. If you bring a dream into your own mind and right away you find ways it won't work or judge it as a stupid idea—the voice of your dreaming self will grow silent and pretty soon you have stopped dreaming. Open up to being loving and supportive of your dreams. This will create a safe environment for your dreams to come forward and be voiced inside of you.
Make a list of 100 things you would like to Do, Be or Have- This may be a bit of a challenge to start this, but as you work on this list you will be taking the heavy lid off your dreaming self and it will begin to speak to you---and you will be able to add things to the list. By starting the list you are priming the pump for more ideas to come through,The Secrets To Achieving A Well Trained Mind by Chris Dcruz. Here are some examples of things you may have on your list: travel to Hawaii, learn to salsa dance, learn to paint in watercolors, go on a weekend camping trip alone, take a family trip to the Grand Canyon, start your own business, be more adventurous etc.
Notice When You Like What Someone Else is Doing- Sometimes our dreams are brought forward because we see someone else living them. This can sometimes come out in a statement like "Oh, I wish I could do that". For example if you have a friend who travels a lot and you love to hear the stories of her adventures—this may be a dream of yours that you should take action on. Pay attention to when you feel this waythis can give you clues to your own dreams. What do you see other people doing that you would LOVE to do?
Forget about the "How" When You Are Dreaming- You may disregard your dream because you can't see how this dream could ever happen. You may say "I could never quit my job and do this thing I love—I can't see how it can happen." The most important thing is to identify the dream and decide if this is the dream you want to pursue. I have seen over and over that once people decide and commit---and move forward in action towards their dreams—the pieces of the puzzle of the "How" fall into place. You will not experience this if you hang back and try to figure it out in your head "how" to do it before you will decide if you will do it. The ideas, inspiration and the "how" come to you after you decide and commit.
Go somewhere Special and Inspirational to Contemplate Your Dreams- Take time from your busy schedule to reflect on your dreams. Sometimes people are so busy with their day to day lives that they don't have the time to reflect on their lives. You need time and space to drop down into your feeling self—that is where the dreaming part of you lives. Find a café or other inspirational place to go and reflect. Write at the topic of the page "If I could do anything I would.."—and just let your mind drift and write down the ideas that come to you. And remember like I mentioned above to quiet your critical voice while you are doing this.
Decide You Will Love Yourself Enough to Honor Your Dreams- It is an act of self- love to listen to the voice of your dreams and to pursue these special dreams. Just like you want the people in your own life that you love so dearly to be happy and to pursue their dreams—love yourself in that same way and listen to your own dreams. The level of happiness you feel in your life is directly related to how well you are listening to your dreaming self—and taking these dreams seriously.
If You Are Not Pursuing Your Dreams or are Confused about Your Dreams—What Are You Afraid Of,on your family?- If you have been stalled on pursuing your dream, know that there are some fears that are holding you back—some of these are conscious and some of these are unconscious. If they are conscious fears that you are aware of—write them down. Look at what you wrote from the highest part of you—the part of you filled with faith and trust. From this perspective write a response back to this fear. An example of a fear could be "I could never make money at doing a job that I love—I have to just stay stuck where I am at—besides things are so unstable with the economy right now I can't take any risks." Your answer back could be "Yes you can make money at doing a job you love—it just takes time, effort and persistence. Trust that as we pursue what we love we will be supported on every level. We can take steps now to move in that direction and trust that the right opportunity will open up for us. We actually will be in a better position with the economy if we move in a direction of doing what we love rather than staying stuck out of fear." Some of your fears may be more unconscious. To address these unconscious fears ask yourself on a piece of paper. "You aren't taking any steps towards your dreams—why are you so afraid?" Close your eyes and just listen in to what thoughts pop into your head—or the feeling you feel in your body. Write the response down and do the same thing as I listed above—which is to write a response to this fear from the highest part of you,Improve Your Focus By Asking Why by Karen Kelley.
Get Support- Out of everything I have listed above this is the most important tip of all. Get support from believe who believe in you and the beauty of your own dreams. In my last Life Purpose Mentoring Group some of the people had these dreams in their hearts for years, but never took action to pursue them. With the support of the program they made more progress in 3 months than they did in 10 years of sitting on their dream. Others were able to step out of the confusion of going around and around again about trying to figure out their Life Purpose and were finally able to get the clarity they needed to move forward. It was amazing—it was like seeing a group of people become alive again after years of holding themselves back and not fully living. The power of positive, inspirational support is a key element in moving beyond your fears into the joy of living your dreams.
Begin today to re-connect with your dreaming self and listen to its beautiful wisdom. Allow this wisdom to guide you to a life that is filled with joy and possibility!

Public speaking is often rated as the greatest fear that adults have. Yet speaking by itself is not threatening to most. It's the public in public speaking that frightens people. Why is this?
Perhaps it's the way that you learned to speak in public. Most of us started speaking when we were around 1 year old. Our first words were enthusiastically cultivated and celebrated by our parents. Out first public speaking was what we did on the phone to our grand-parents.
Those were the good old days. Every word and sound you made (other than crying) was met with smiles and attention from the adults.
Our next opportunity to experience public speaking was in the grocery store. You learned that our favorite cereal, candy or treat could be ours if we made enough of a public spectacle to embarrass our parent. Yes, this public speaking thing seemed like a good thing - until we got home. Perhaps we were sent to our room. This was sending us mixed messages about public speaking.
Then you went to school. For a budding public speaker this was a gift - a classroom full of an eager audience. Boy,focused and present mind, were we wrong. It turned out that every other student wanted to speak at the same time. Why didn't they realize that your thoughts and words were more important than theirs,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots.
Your years at school brought more opportunities to speak in public. Yet they often seemed like walking through a mine field. You never knew when you might say something dumb or give the wrong answer. The teacher would give you that look and your audience might snicker,greater wealth. And that was just the day-to-day grind of school days,read some brochures. You learned that the public could be very fickle and unappreciative about your speaking.
Public speaking in class was either to ask the teacher a question or to answer the teacher's questions. Ask a dumb question or give the wrong answer and you might be on the receiving end of the teacher's ire. Even if you asked good questions and gave the right answers - you only pleased the teacher and raised the distain of your fellow students. This public speaking thing seemed to be a no win situation. Most days it seemed better to avoid it. Keep your hand down and avoid eye contact.
The boldest public speaker was the class clown who seemed to have a natural talent for making jokes, entertaining the audience and annoying the teacher. The teacher was the one who did the most public speaking in class and that was often boring. Neither was a good role model for a future public speaker.
There was the school play. Perhaps you volunteered or were volunteered and you had a few lines to deliver. You rehearsed the lines before and after breakfast and on the way to school. Maybe you were coached by your parents who didn't have a clue about public speaking or the pressure that you felt. The day of the play you delivered your lines. Perhaps you hated the experience. So why is there a mystery that so many adults fear public speaking?
Maybe it's because they have been conditioned that way most of their lives. If you want to be a better public speaker you might need some serious reconditioning.

Boy, I tell you....it seems the world is just going crazy these days! The economy is going haywire, the war is started, and things just seem to be out of control!
Most of us know how hard it is to keep our business going with all the work and time it requires in just the everyday whirlwind of life. How in the world in such crazy times, do we keep from just saying, "I Give Up!?"
There are several things we can do to energize our brains and our bodies. Taking good care of ourselves is our best defense against feelings of hopelessness, the feeling of being overwhelmed and just plain down-in-the dumps feelings!
Get Some Sun - After being indoors so much during the winter, we need to get out and get some of that springtime sun! The sun is very good for your mind and body. But, do remember to wear protection so you don't get too much exposure.
Eat Healthy Foods - This we all know of course, and it is much easier said than done, but just try to change one meal at a time or add one healthy food at a time.
Take a Good MultiVitamin - A good vitamin can do a lot for you, especially if you don't eat right. You should, however, talk to your doctor before taking any vitamins.
Get Daily Fresh Air and Exercise - We all need that fresh air and lots of exercise. Take a nice quiet early morning walk everyday to get your blood pumping and your brain alert!
Take a Break and Just Do Nothing - When you are feeling overwhelmed just take a break and do "nothing". If you are like me, you feel like you have to be busy and/or working every minute of the day. If this is you, try short five minute breaks to start with and move up to 15 or 20. We all need breaks no^w and then!
Stretch - Take five or ten minutes and do some stretching exercises. These feel absolutely wonderful and can be very invigorating and refreshing!!
Talk to Others - Call a friend or family member and just talk for a while. Share your thoughts and feelings and more than likely they will have you feeling better in minutes!
Have a Little Fun - Turn on some music and dance around the house a bit or do some reading or whatever you like to do. Forget about business and just be glad to be alive!
Push Away from Your Desk - Push away from that desk and just get up and walk around for a few minutes. Putz around the house for awhile and do an odd job or two. Then come back to your puter screen. Do not spend too long in front of the computer at one time.
Close Your Eyes and Drift Away - Just sit back for a moment or two, close your eyes and let your thoughts drift away to wonderful and magical place! Take a few deep, cleansing breaths. When you come back to reality you should feel a bit refreshed!
Enjoy Time with Your Family - Spend some time with your family. Play a game, take a walk, watch a heart warming family adventure movie, or just sit and talk. No matter how hard we work,I wished for a small factory where I could blend my aromatherapy products, we have to make time for our family!
There are lots of ways to "refuel" ourselves, but actually doing them is not so easy,If you're in your retirement planning years. We think we don't have the time, but if we keep ourselves refreshed and healthy, we can probably get more work done in less time and never feel like we want to "Give Up!"

Desiring to have fun is natural, normal and an a sound approach to a healthy state of being. Your life cannot help but flourish if your daily routine is infused with FUN. Consider it a basic need along with food, shelter, clothing, Etc,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots! Of course, this is not to say that you don't take important things seriously. It is to say, however, that you don't treat every experience as though your life depends on it.
Old patterning may have taught us that having fun is acceptable in its proper place and time. And for some, fun is interpreted as a childish action and not appropriate behavior for an adult. Letting go of modeling that no longer serves us creates a natural vacuum and an unblocked channel for fresh new energy, FUN, to come into our live. Start introducing and enveloping this light hearted approach to living at a relaxed and gentle pace, as this is not a test and there is no "pass-fail".
Here are a some simple actions that will generate FUN in your life:
Share Yourself with Others! Start with a SMILE. It works.
Smile at a person you pass on the street, smile and wave at a neighbor; smile and greet your pet at the door; smile at your waiter and leave a really big tip because you're having a great day; smile and start a conversion with the cashier; smile when you pick up the phone, the caller will hear it in your voice, And on and on!!
Nurture Yourself. MAKE some time each day for a "mind" Vacation.
When we were kids fun was scheduled into our school schedule. "Recess" was a time to play games, laugh with our friends and frolic on the playground. By breaking for fun we returned to the classroom feeling refreshed, invigorated and better able to concentrate on the tasks at hand. So, schedule in "Recess". Jump in a pile of leaves; go for a 10 minute walk; next time you see a rainbow, stop and really admire it; test drive a really expensive car; sit and relax; rent a funny movies,Put these into your daily schedule and help them become your habits. Even if small, pop some popcorn and laugh; read a book; listen to music; play a game with the kids; jump on the bed; play hop-scotch; take a drive to no where; stand on your head. Do what presents itself. And make sure you honor your appointment with fun as much as you would any other entry in your calendar!
Pat Yourself on the Back, Often.
Celebrate all the successes in your life. Many times we get hung up on that obvious situation that is causing us turmoil and sapping our energy. If this happens call a time out, breath, and one by one count the things in your life you are proud of and appreciate. What a great way to feel uplifted!
Un burden Yourself
Start to clear away the old dead parts of your life. Return a call, get rid of all the clothes you can't fit into, call a service to clean your house, clear and organize your desk area, be willing to let go of an old "grudge" you be holding on to. Do what is in your face at the moment! Easy does it now, this is not a race.
Let the Outside, In
As children we were taught to protect ourselves, to beware. Now is the time to drop our imaginary guard.. Look at life as a conspiracy to bring you only the very best. I guarantee doors you did not know existed will start to swing open, bringing you a life beyond your wildest and fondest dreams!
Veto Debt, Take on Agreements
Throw out any words in your vocabulary that don't have a pleasant tone. For example; for some the word "debt" may feel mundane and heavy. If this is the case, the words "agreement"or "arrangement" may be good replacements. After all we have a lot of words to choice from!
Be That
Think about what you enjoy the most about other people. For example, is it because they have a positive attitude, joke around, interact in a friendly way, etc. Then do it,Forever Whispering Within Our Ear!
Give Away all your "Shoulds and Have Tos"
Lets face it, not one of us has to do anything. We all make choices. So stand tall, take a "I'm in charge" attitude and notice how you step into your day (and life) with a new found sense of anticipation and wonder.
What's Fun?
Take some time to ponder what "fun" is for you, then take action steps to participate "just for the fun of it". And, whenever you hear or read about an event or activity that fascinates you add it to your "fun" to do list.
Watch a Child
We forgot how to have fun. So an easy and FUN way to help us remember is to watch a child . Feel the magic and wonder they emanate . Take it in. It is contiguous!
Allow Time for Surprises
Every now and then do something nice for someone totally unexpected. Call someone up and tell him or her how much you appreciate them; give someone a back rub, when crossing a toll ridge or entering a toll road, pay the fare for the vehicle behind you; return a grocery cart to the stall; put coins in expired parking meters; give Hershey's Kisses to people,a human being can do some things to alter their world; leave your change in the soda machine for the next person.

Have you ever awakened from a particularly troublesome dream and wondered what it meant and why you dreamt it? We all have dreams like that from time to time and most of us just shrug it off and go on about our daily business.
Here are some examples of the kind of dreams I'm talking about:
Dreams of being chased
Going downhill at breakneck speed
Going up a hill with tremendous effort, never quite getting to the top
Being locked up or can't get out of a place
Losing your way or being left behind
Someone close to you has died, or is injured in some way
And so on. There are an infinite variety of dreams like this,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots, but the key word is troublesome. Troublesome dreams are generally showing us our current fears and anxieties, or the weaker aspects of ourselves.
These dreams are typically pretty vivid and you may even feel great relief when you wake up and realize it was only a dream.
So, let's take these dreams and put them to good use!
This is an easy and very empowering technique to tell your subconscious a different story. Your subconscious wants to help you and will believe whatever you say, whether it is positive or negative. So, in that light it might as well be something positivewouldn't you agree?
The trick is to simply go back into the dream while you are awake and change it.
Does that sound too easy? Well, it is very easy and it feels really good.
There are no dream police telling you that you can't do this! You are allowed to change the dream events to unfold however you please.
Here's an example from my own dream archives and then I'll walk you through the process quickly so you can do it on your own:
I'm sitting in a small RV at the top of a hill and suddenly the RV is pulled backwards back down the hill. It's going really, really fast and I'm terrified of the crash, but don't know what to do.
I hear a voice from somewhere saying "Do Something,Do not trust them!" I look down and see the brake (duh, of course) and slammed on the brakes to stop the momentum,Despite what we may have been taught to believe. It stopped just in time before crashing into a house at the bottom of the hill. I was so relieved and proud of myself for putting on the brakes.
Then as I opened the door, all these starving children came at me with their hands out and crying. This frightened me so I shut the door and listened in horror to them scratching and trying to get in.
I woke up feeling bad.
Okay, so that's the dream. There are all kinds of symbols with meaning within the dream, but for our purposes it's best to keep it as simple as possible. The troublesome parts were flying down the hill backwards out of control, and having those children coming at me. Those are the parts that needed to be addressed.
No doubt this was representing something going on in my life at the time, but that doesn't really matter either. What matters is getting those troublesome feelings turned around and thus giving my subconscious a different story.
I went back into the dream and started from the bottom of the hill. After all, I did manage to stop the crash so that part was alright. I opened the door and as the children were coming towards me, I told them to line up.
I said to them strongly, "I know you all pulled my RV down the hill, and I need to know why!"
I pointed to the first child, "What's your name?" The child replied "Illusion".
The next child was "Guilt" and the third was "No Confidence". At that point, the rest of the children simply disappeared. Apparently, these were sub-aspects built on these three.
I sent them to shower and change' and then come back out. They did so, and were smiling as they stood in front of me. I simply changed them all into goddesses (heywhy not ?) and renamed them "Clarity" "Love" and "Confidence". Then I re-absorbed them back into myself and drove the RV back up the hill and enjoyed a grand view of the ocean.
Boy, did I feel great after doing that! It gave me the boost of self-confidence that I really needed at the time.
Not all of these sessions will be as clear or as effective, but any small change here and there will add up, and the changes are permanent. These exercises make a lasting impression on your subconscious.

Give yourself 10-15 minutes for this and make sure to write it down afterwards.
Sit comfortably and close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing for a few minutes until you feel relaxed. Be prepared to let your intuition take over and let whatever empowering thoughts come into your mind be rightkeep your logical mind out of it.
Enter your dream where you instinctively feel is the right spot.
Talk to dream characters and ask questions (the characters are simply aspects of yourself). Change whatever you need to change to make the dream a successful one. Be creative!

People will laugh at us

Who Is The Inner Critic?
The inner critic is that voice inside your head that tells you that you aren't good enough, smart enough, talented enough, pretty enough, or strong enough. It nags and natters at you to the point that your self confidence and sense of bravery is destroyed. You are convinced that the voice is correct and that you really don't have what it takes to live out your wildest dreams. As time goes on, you quit setting meaningful goals. You become resigned to a life of mediocrity and dullness.
The inner critic typically begins during childhood. Unfortunately most of us have had parents, siblings, teachers, friends, and enemies tell us that we aren't good enough. They laughed in your face when you told them your childhood dreams. It's not always said directly to our face. Sometimes it's a subtle undercurrent. Maybe you lived in the shadow of a perfect older brother and your folks forgot to cheer on your successes too. Maybe your folks did everything for you as if you weren't capable of doing anything for yourself. Maybe you lived under the rule of a perfectionist, so everything you did was critiqued with a cold critical eye and never quite cut the mustard.
However it starts, the inner critic gathers proof that it is doing the right thing by protecting you from making foolish leaps of faith. It will find proof of your lack and inability to shine. Every time you give up and quit, the inner critic files that away in it's memory as proof yet again of your smallness. Years and years of layers of proof and validation coupled with the lack of a strong support system of cheerleaders strengthens the inner critic until it overpowers your own sense of drive and purpose. Critics are not necessarily bad. They analyze and report back the results of their critique. The inner critic believes that he is protecting you. It's his job to keep you from doing harmful or foolish things. In the caveman days, he would have told you that you couldn't outrun the lion so you'd best leave it alone. He would have told you not to try jumping off of that cliff because you don't have wings like a bird so you're not going to be able to fly. The inner critic is supposed to analyze your talents, traits, and abilities and then determine whether or not you've got what it takes to accomplish whatever whim you're entertaining. At an enlightened balanced level he keeps you safe and out of trouble. In overdrive, he immobilizes you and keeps you from doing much of anything interesting and adventurous.
Look at the most common phobia in America - public speaking. Now seriously, this is feared more than dying! How can that be? What is it we're afraid of? People will laugh at us? People will think we're stupid? People will be so bored that they'll fall asleep and snore through the speech? We'll forget what we were going to say and just stand there with a blank look on our face? To stand up and speak one's mind is the ultimate test of self confidence. Do you really truly believe in yourself, your knowledge of the subject matter, your ability to form words and sentences that make sense to the audience?
I can relate completely to this fear, but what I have to do is look realistically at myself from a third party objective viewpoint. I hear my own inner critic worrying that I'm going to make a fool of myself on stage because I'll forget what I'm going to say. The truth is, I have a gift of gab. I'm a talkaholic. I have no historical evidence of forgetting what I was going to say. Quite the contrary, I typically add so much more than I had originally planned on saying. If I'm honest in my evaluation of myself then I'd realize that I have so much information, opinions, and stories that even if I do forget what I was going to say, I could 'wing it.' Everything I do comes back to trying to teach people how to be happy. I'll find my way back to that goal even if I ever did forget. So, in a logical analysis, I would have to say that it's an invalid fear. There's no reason at all to listen to my own inner critic when it's nagging at me not to get up on stage to speak. For me, there is no real danger involved. It would be a shame if I let an invalid fear stop me from doing what I love most, reaching out and helping people to make positive changes in themselves.
You may decide that your inner critic is telling the truth, you really aren't capable of doing what you've set out to do. You want to own a restaurant but you're afraid of failing. Upon evaluation you come to realize that you don't know anything about running a business or even cooking for that matter," You are asking this question of your highest self. Okay great, so get lessons. Educate yourself, make solving the fears your first steps. Just because you don't have all of the tools today doesn't mean that you're never ever going to be able to succeed,1. Refuse to passenger with such a person until he or she changes..
Your inner critic makes an evaluation about you based on mental programs and beliefs that has been fed into it over the course of your life. If you have a history of support and success, then your inner critic is probably balanced and logical. If you have a history of being ridiculed and of failure,including a to do list, then your inner critic is probably doing its best to save you from any further pain. You are so much more than your inner critic's opinion of you. You are forever capable of growing, learning, training, expanding, and contributing your unique beautiful self. Don't let your inner critic keep you from giving your gift to the world.

12 days ago, what were you doing? Me? I was doing pretty much what I'm doing now. I'm even in the same argument I was having with someone 12 days ago. I'm still trying to complete the exact same work projects. Still haven't tidied my desk. That bit of DIY still needs doing. You know what I mean.
12 days is almost no time. Yet it is. It's certainly big enough to make a real difference. So. Why not make that real difference? Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you to work for nothing or for charity. This is an investment in yourself. Only you stand to gain or lose from this.
I'm talking about learning Spanish. I know that's perhaps a little off the wall, but stick with me.
Spanish is one of the top four languages on the planet, spoken by 400 million people. That's 1 person in every 16, worldwide .. you're bound to meet some of those. Spanish speaking countries are culturally rich, interesting places.
Learning a language sets you free,but the rest of it just isn't worth it., you no longer feel boxed in by your own language. You can wander while on holiday, speak with more people, find new business or personal opportunities,and we all need some of that. But more than that. If you can prove to yourself you can do this in just 12 days .. what else can you do? It's a powerful feeling.
So here's the challenge. Either do this yourself or get together with some mates and find some time,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots, perhaps an hour, each day for the next 12 days, and commit. Say it: I will learn Spanish in 12 days. Mark the twelfth day in your diary. In fact, mark every day up to then with the lesson number.

Your commute, your lunchbreak, before you go to sleep, or while your partner's watching a tv program you don't want to watch. Spirit and meaning is a missing link in many lives, teams, and organizations,then she is unworthy and unlovable. Therefore. Many who have material prosperity live in spiritual poverty. Our work and our lives become ever more meaningful the more they are in harmony with who we are and touch the very core of why we exist. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
Psychologist, Abraham Maslow, developed a hierarchy describing our progression from the most basic to the highest needs of self-actualization — the fulfillment of our full potential. He believed that "the unhappiness, unease, and unrest in the world today are caused by people living far below their capacity."
In his book, The Greatest Miracle in the World, Og Mandino spins a tale of his encounters with Simon Potter, a humble and learned wise man. In one conversation, Og and Simon discuss the miracle people can perform in their own lives by resurrecting their dead spirits. The culture of a family, team, or organization is "the way we do things around here." A toxic culture is loveless, passionless, and meaningless. It has a weak heart and a sick soul. A healthy culture is engaged in meaningful doing through purposeful being. It has a high-energy spirit. Leaders make work, families, communities, or life in general, purposeful. I can only do that if I am filled with purpose. Spirit and meaning starts inside the leader. They can only be developed from the inside out.
In their big busyness, organizations can easily lose their heart and soul. Without realizing it, or ever intending to, they can lose their deeper sense of meaning. Goals, plans, reports,10. Simplify Your Life, and numbers take over. In the harsh glare of hard-headed analysis, soft "touchy, feely" emotions like spirit and meaning evaporates as dew in the morning sun. It's like an academic study of a deeply moving story. The dissection may help us understand the technical pieces, but misses the feelings that touched us so deeply.
Regardless of our positions in an organization, we need to do whatever we can to help change that. We need to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. But we need to ensure we're not feeling like victims of a heartless team or organization with a hollowed out soul. It's too easy to find ourselves being numbed by jobs that aren't a passionate joy but really feel like work. Profit, wealth, or careers can become goals in themselves rather than the means to fulfilling our deeper, more meaningful destinies.
If we're not in touch with our own heart and soul we may not realize how our life energy is being slowly drained by work that doesn't feed our spirit and give us richer meaning. If we're not careful, we can become hollow victims with our lifeblood sucked out of us. But I can't blame "them." I may not choose to be victimized by a toxic team, family, or organization, but I chose whether to be a victim. The choice is mine.

I'm sure you have heard about the power of the mind. And also I'm sure you didn't pay attention to that concept or maybe you didn't give it credibility. However, you must know it's the only way you can make miracles happen in your life. By using your mind properly you can change your life dramatically. You can object telling me you do use your mind in your own benefit, but I can show you didn't do that. Just take a look at your daily routine; breakfast, work, fast lunch, work, date to dinner or beers with friends, maybe a session in a gym, back home to sleep, and that's it. So, along this average routine you tell me at what time of your day you are using your mind to create, to build the lifestyle you would like to have?
LIVING A PLANLESS LIFE
As most of the people we used to watch our lives passing by inside pre-established routines inherited from our society. Most of us didn't give ourselves the time to plan a life according to our expectations,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots. We just let life to take us to a bank like the water in a river. We are just part of the life flow giving up to a, so called, destiny we may not agree. So, why do not give us a chance and try to use this concept in to our own benefit. Why not taking few minutes a day, or more if you can, to start building the lifestyle you deserve.
THOUGHTS AGAINST FRUSTRATIONS
Everybody has some kind of frustration, even you, so you can start unloading it from your back. Now, the question is how to do it.
It's simple and believe it or not you have used this power in the past,your garden. It happens usually when we are in front of limit situations. Remember some "big" problem you had and as consequence of thinking a lot in the way to solve it ... , almost magically like a spark of illumination, the solution just appeared in your mind! In the same way you can overcome your frustration(s) using adequately your thoughts.
WHAT TO DO
As much people build their bodies at the gym, in the same way you have to dedicate some minutes every day to overcome your frustration(s) or to change that things you don't like in your life. The way to do it is an adequate combination of thoughts, mind training, and will.
Thoughts are powerful. If combined with the other two elements they can make miracles happen. Jesus said "if you have the faith as the size of a mustard grain, you will be able to command this mountain throw itself to sea and the mountain would obey to you", and where is faith?... right! in your mind! Faith is just some kind of thought. Einstein discovered the rules of the universe just by using his thoughts. Oh yeah, I can imagine what you are thinking now. You think you are not a celebrity just a regular guy with a normal life and you do not believe you can do such amazing things or discoveries. Believe me, I'm also a regular guy and maybe I won't do things that change the world history, but you and I are able to make significant changes in our lives so we can do them more accordingly to our pleasure. In short, you can make changes in your life. You can influence for good your life with the proper use of your thoughts. You can start overcoming your frustration(s). I know that because I did it.
I know you are hesitating now and that's a good start point. You dispose some time every day to take care of your body, to take care of your health, to take care of your appearance; so why do not care about your life. Why not dedicate some few minutes a day to build in your mind, using your thoughts, the lifestyle you want and deserve. What you have to lose. In particular, make your frustration(s) disappear.
Who influences every decision you make?... Your thoughts.
Who influences your state of mind?... Your thoughts.
Who influences your humor?... Your thoughts.
Who influences your life expectations?... Your thoughts.
Who rules your life?... Your thoughts.
Who controls your thoughts?... YOU!
So,do something about it. If you are grateful for your sobriety? It seems you just have to train your thoughts, right?
HOW TO DO IT
For instance, if you feel frustrated with your current job then force your mind to imagine a scene with you doing exactly what you would like to do. Imagine the scene with detail,neighbors. Then create a sentence in present time like "I have a good job doing which pays me xxxxx $, and makes me feel happy". Repeat this exercise as much as you can every day; and after some time you will start to see changes.
This is the way to induce changes in your life.
Believe me, it works!
You have to try it!
You have nothing to lose!

You know the saying, "if you want something done right, do it yourself?" Well, that's not very practical at all.
If you're a leader of a large group, you can't possibly take on all the responsibilities yourself. As such, you need to learn how to delegate. This is one of the most important characteristics of an effective leader.
Take Steve Jobs for example. He's not the salesman who convinced you to buy an iPod instead of a Zune during the rush sale at the mall. He's not the person who shot the ads or the one who checked whether your particular iPod passed the quality test while it was being manufactured.
But he was able to appoint individuals who were able to take care of specific tasks - this alone makes him an excellent leader.

The preparatory phase will take you through a few steps that normally precede anxiety attacks. Some of these are preventive measures, while others are meant to equip you to cope with the anxiety attack if it develops to a full-blown form. Learn To Recognize The Warning Signals

Is There A Logical Justification Backing Up Your Worries
Look carefully at the things that are causing you to worry. Are your worries logically justified or are you blowing things out of proportion? It would be difficult for you to remove yourself from the present and look at the situation objectively, but with practice you would be able to separate instances where worry is justified and where it is not.
Reorganize Your Thoughts
Look at the worse possible scenario and ask yourself what you can do best to avert it. If there is any action that you could take, do so. If there is nothing you can do, will yourself to stop worrying and even thinking about whatever worries you. Tell yourself that you would cross the bridge when it comes. For all its worth, it often happens that the things you worry about most never happens. Why torture yourself in advance for something that might never happen? Why invite an anxiety attack for something imaginary?
Apply The Writing Therapy
The best would be to talk with someone about your feelings, not as a confessional but as a sounding board. When you are stressed,real security, you might not like to talk, but you need to ventilate your thoughts to release the tension that has built within you. At such times, take out a paper and write down your thoughts what bothers you the most? What you would want otherwise? How much you can help the situation if you apply yourself to it? You would be surprised about the clarity you would get by just voicing your thoughts (speaking with someone) or penning them down. Often, when your worrisome thoughts are crammed in your mind, they seem much more terrible than when they are taken out to light . This is something like a cluttered table,you might want to work on your sense of humor. Laughter; at first it looks like there 10 thousand things on it and nothing makes sense, but once things are arranged and the desk is de-cluttered, tasks do not look scary and impossible to do anymore.
Establish A Safe Place For Yourself
You need to mentally allot a place in your home and/ or workplace where you declare it safe . This should be like a sanctuary where nothing bad or harmful can ever reach or touch you. This could a room, your bed,Step Four, a large armchair, your garden, your coffee lounge, or even bathroom. When you feel the anxiety rising within you, just rush to your safe place and let the feeling of security and safety wash over you. Imagine that you have reached a place where every bad thing would be turned away like you would be under the direct protection of God Himself or Providence or whatever super power you believe in. This would give you time and scope to rest your mind and find relief from stress for a while, enough time to enable you change your negative thoughts into positive ones.
Make A List Of Your Pet Worries
Let your worries escalate a little and when you feel that they are about to take a good grip of you, take out a pen and paper and write them down one by one. Write exactly what you are afraid of in bullet points and allot each one a number. Once you have exhausted your sources of worry, take a long look at each one of the points you wrote and then crumple the paper and burn it. At that time, imagine that you have burnt away all your worries and they have left you forever. Repeat this exercise every time you feel an anxiety attack is about to strike, and gradually you would observe that the number of your worries and their intensity decrease.
Force Your Thoughts On To Realty
This works best when you are free of anxiety or any of its symptoms. Take a pen and paper and make a table with two columns. In one of the columns enumerate carefully all the worries that plagued you until date and in the other write yes against the worries that came true and no against those who never materialized. When you complete the list, the realty would be quite clear to you as you would be able to see it in black and white on your paper. It would be heartening and so reassuring to see and realize that only a very tiny number of worries ever materialize. So, why worry at all?
This Too, Shall Pass
These four words represent a very deep truth of life. Everything in life is transient both good and bad. We all feel that bad things are harder and emotionally more draining because they hurt, while the good things pass much too fast because they make us happy. The truth is that life is indeed like a box of chocolates . You need to keep in mind when you are happy as when you are sad that this too shall pass . They say, You are never as good as they say when you succeed, nor as bad as they say when you fail. The secret to prevent anxiety attacks is often this simple.

It means that you know what you are thinking or doing that causes fear, anxiety, depression, guilt, fear, anger, jealousy, and so on, and how to learn from and heal these painful feelings. It means that you no longer turn to addictions to avoid loneliness, heartache, heartbreak, sorrow or grief because you know how to manage and release these painful feelings. It means that you do not feel like a victim of others' choices and instead operate from a place of personal power, taking loving care of yourself rather than being reactive. It means that you are able to manifest the gifts you have been given and spend your time in what brings you joy. It means that you know how to fill yourself with love and share love with others rather than trying to get love and approval from others.
HOW DOES HEALING OCCUR?
Some therapies, such as CBT - Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy - bring about changes that can be a huge help to people suffering from depression. But what about anger, heartbreak,I ran out of stamps, and relationship problems?
One of the problems with some forms of psychotherapy is that our programmed mind cannot heal our programmed mind. Much of our pain comes from the false beliefs that have been programmed into a part of our left-brain called the amygdala - which is the seat of the ego, the wounded self,3161 Ugg Classic Short Sparkles Silver Boots. All of us absorbed many false beliefs as we were growing up that now limit us and can cause us much pain.
As long as we operate from our ego wounded self, we are stuck operating from these false beliefs, as the wounded self cannot heal the wounded self. So how do we heal the false beliefs of the wounded self?
Healing occurs when we develop a part of ourselves - what we call in Inner Bonding® the loving Adult - that is able to access a source of truth. Our ego wounded self has no ability to access truth. The loving Adult is a part of us that opens to learning with a spiritual source of love and truth, and learns to bring the truth through the mind - rather than the thoughts that come from the mind - which is what starts to heal the false beliefs,you can do what is necessary to bring it about. The loving Adult learns to take loving action in our own behalf based on the truth that is accessed from Spirit, and the more we take loving action for ourselves and with others, the more we heal the false beliefs that are limiting ourselves and causing our pain.
While the wounded self always operates from an intent to control getting love, avoiding pain, and feeling safe, the loving Adult operates from an intent to learn about what loving to ourselves and others. It is this shift in intent - from controlling to learning about love - that begins the healing process. There is no deep, long-term healing as long as our intent is to control.
The more you learn to love yourself and share your love with others, the more you heal. The secret of emotional healing and emotional freedom is to develop your spiritually connected loving Adult, as there is no true healing without a spiritual connection. Any therapy that does not include the development of a spiritual connected loving Adult will not lead to long-term emotional freedom.
How do we create the loving Adult? By practicing opening to learning with a source of spiritual Guidance - whatever that is for you,following 3 things should be kept in mind. If you have no spiritual belief system or you are an atheist, no problem. Just imagine an older wise part of yourself. If you practicing asking this older wiser part of yourself questions about truth and loving action, you will be amazed at the answers you get. And as you take the loving action you are instructed to take, you will gradually heal the false beliefs that are causing much of your pain.
